A New Role for a Familiar Face at LCM
Rob Breckel Promoted to COO of Lenawee Christian Ministries

Since the summer of 2010, Lenawee Christian Ministries (LCM) has employed Mr. Rob Breckel as the ministry’s Director of Finance, where he has managed the finances of LCM, the Christian Family Centre, and Lenawee Christian School. During his tenure with LCM, Rob has successfully guided the hundreds of projects from concept to completion, including millions of dollars in improvements in services, facilities, and benefits to those we serve. Recently, the LCM Board of Directors recognized Rob’s stewardship and leadership and promoted him to become the ministry’s first Chief Operating Officer.
“We’ve always been impressed by the level of excellence Mr. Breckel exhibits in his work,” shared Dr. Sherilyn Emberton, LCM Board Chair and President of Huntington University. “Particularly during the COVID-19 crisis, Rob’s leadership was instrumental in safely guiding LCM through one of the most difficult financial seasons in our organization’s history. Not only did LCM come through the crisis in good health, we are well positioned to improve our services to the Lenawee County community and beyond. It is with excitement and admiration that we have asked Mr. Breckel to serve LCM in this new capacity as COO.”
LCM Board member Tricia (Merillat) McGuire said, “As our brother-in-Christ, Rob lives out his faith in his home, life, and work. We’re excited to see how God will continue to use him to draw people closer to Christ through his new role.”
In his reflections on this new opportunity, Rob said, “I am excited to begin this new chapter in my journey with LCM. It has been a great pleasure to work with Dr. Jim Colman and I look forward to serving with our new CEO, Dr. Todd Marshall. Since grade school, I’ve seen the amazing and eternal impact this organization has in the lives of students, adults, and families. My life has been blessed because of how people here have invested their time into developing my gifts and abilities. I’m grateful for the vision God gave the Merillat family more than 40 years ago and I look forward to living out that vision by serving our team members, the students and families at Lenawee Christian School, and the many individuals, families, churches, and organizations who are a part of the Christian Family Centre.”
Mr. Breckel has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from Siena Heights University. Rob, his wife, Carrie, and their children are active members of West Rome Baptist Church, where he serves as a small group leader in youth ministry. He also serves several churches as an auditor.
